Time in Space —
Erzählungen aus der Pandemie

The exhibition Time in Space shows personal confrontations with life during the pandemic in 2020. The Corona pandemic led many people to abandon the social – the previously indispensable, real life – and to a spatial and emotional isolation. The perception and coping strategies are manifold, as are the moments of surrender.
14 insulated air chambers display relics, personal objects, pictures, scraps of text, and so on, which tell of the changing life situations. The overall arrangement creates an image of many, isolated, small living spaces. The distanced location and the use of a participatory element – the respirator pump – reinforce the pandemic aesthetics of the exhibition and is meant to create ambivalent impressions among the recipients.
